The Old Testament and the New Testament demonstrate in both the Hebrew and Greek, that there are 3 Anointings or 3 Dimensions of the Anointing.

We see an example of this in the life of David, ?a man after God?s own heart!?

Three-fold things in the Bible:

God?s three greatest mouthpieces:

  • Moses
  • Jesus                     All 3 declared that in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses a thing will be
  • Paul                       confirmed & established ? Deut. 19:15, 2 Cor. 13:1, Matt. 18:16

Proverbs 22:20-21 (AMP)

?have I not written to you [long ago] excellent things in counsels and knowledge to make you know the certainty of the words of truth, that you may give a true answer to those who sent you.?  (Luke 1:3,4)

God?s purposes are revealed throughout scriptures in 3 dimensions. In the words ?excellent things?  excellent = Shaylish means ?triple, triangle, threefold measure?; it can also mean ?weighty things?

What is the blueprint for all these things?

The Tabernacle, Ex.25:40, and it is also called the ?Divine pattern? ? Heb. 8:5-6.

1st anointing ?suk? = to pour out

2nd anointing  (Hebrew)?masah? or ?mashach? = to smear on

3rd anointing  (Greek) ?chrio? = rub in

The 1st ?taste? or ?smell? and beginning of God?s Anointing

Each Dimension reveals a multiplication/increase of power according to the Word.

Each Dimension of the anointing has a specific purpose in the plan of God.

On each Dimension we don?t encounter something, we encounter a Person! The Spirit of God.

The Anointing defined  is the ?burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of God!?

Isaiah 10:27

?It shall come to pass in that day that the Assyrian burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.?

The part that says in that day indicates today, this day, now!

Burden means ?load?, and it comes from the root word that means ?to carry?.

This yoke = is put on the neck and shoulders and is a symbol of the will, a slave yoke.

The prophet Isaiah assured us that the enemy?s bondages would be destroyed because of the Anointing [Jesus]. This person is now in our hearts, in this day.

The 1st dimension of the Anointing is revealed in the word cuwk (Hebr.) or sk = the oil is the anointing that is poured out, like olive oil on salad.

Sk differs from the most common synonym, masah which includes the ideas to spread over or to smear.

Like putting oil on after a bath, 2 Sam. 2:20,

for a pleasant aroma, Ruth 3:3,

for healing as medicine, Ez. 16:9, Luke 10:34,

as a symbol of joy, 2 Chr. 28:15

In the Old Testament, when it was poured out, it flowed over the whole body, and was good for your emotions (stimulated the senses). But after a while the smell was gone.

Sk is only found 8 times in the Old Testament (in 8 verses). The number 8 signifies ?Resurrection? or a

?New beginning?.

The 2nd dimension/taste is being smeared with God. Masach is used here =

a)      to smear

b)      to anoint

c)       to consecrate

d)      to paint

e)      to spread a liquid

Masach is used 25 times in the book of Exodus. Ex. 29:7, Ex. 30:30, Num. 35:25.
23 Times out of 25, this word is used to anoint kings, and twice for prophets,
2 Sam.12:7, 2 Kings 19:15-16, compare these two scriptures.

The 1st anointing won?t carry or sustain you.

You have to stand still long enough to be ?smeared?.

When the oil was smeared on, it lasted longer.

The verb mashiyach is derived from the word mashach.

It usually refers to a consecrated person such as a king, priest or Christian, but especially the Messiah.

Masach also appears 40 times in the first and second books of Samuel, as well as in Psalms.

Through this anointing specific victories were won, but the experiences were limited or temporary, that is to say there are limits even in the 2nd dimension.

The Old Testament only takes us through 2 dimensions of the corporate anointing.

The New Testament gives us two extra words for the anointing:  Aleipho and Chrio.

Aleipho ? it seems as if this little word takes over from the meanings or interpretations of mashach ? to pour out.

In the New Testament it means ?to apply oil with a pleasant fragrance or with perfume?

The 3rd dimension

Here God rubs in the Anointing into our entire being.

Luke 4:18 ?the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has Anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.?

Chrio = to rub in. This word is almost always used or reserved for the Lord Jesus Christ as the anointed of God, The word chrio is the Greek verb or action word for ?anointing?.

The Greek noun Chrisma = a serious rubbing in, actually an endowment of the Holy Spirit.

This 3rd dimension of the corporate anointing is the one thatAbides.

It is our complete provision.

John 3:34, the anointing that was on Jesus = chrisma, the Spirit WITHOUT MEASURE.

It is the FULLNESS we desire!

The Spirit without measure is an unlimited supply that abides, permeating every fibre of our being.

This anointing pertains to the 3rd place in the tabernacle, the holy of holies, the most holy place.

This is the place where all compound anointings spring forth from the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 3:17-19, at this level the fullness dwells in the heart by faith!

1.                  Children play and have fun in the 1st dimension of the anointing, it feels good.

2.                  Spiritual young people look for more and find that the anointing Empowers them for some service, but they cling to the 2nd dimension.

3.                  But mature Sons are those who long for the Fullness of the spirit with their whole heart, the     fullness which can only be found in the 3rd dimension.

Here God shares his heart with them.

They are determined to pursue Him regardless of how severe the process of death to self is, in order that Christ alone be seen in them.
